Name: Yuka Uzaki
Age: varies throughout story, but future age is 20
Looks: Long black hair with white tips. Light blue eyes. Very pretty.
Info: Yuka is from the Hidden Wind Village and is the daughter of the Wind Lord. She is often in the Hidden Sand Village, Suna. Usually on business with her father since he liked to keep her close. Her mother is dead and she has no siblings. She is a very lonely person, but has high spirits. She is a very caring and loving person. She doesn’t discriminate people and she loves to make friends. Although she doesn’t have any friends because her father is afraid that they would hurt her (emotionally and physically) and won’t let her socialise with other boys and girls her age. He thinks kids can be cruel and doesn’t want them to hurt Yuka.

[START]
.::PAST::.
Age: 5
Uzaki Yuka was in Suna with her father. He was discussing business with the Kazekage. Yuka had been told to wait outside on the bench. She was getting really bored with just sitting there.
Disobeying her father’s orders, she got up from the bench and started to walk down the hallway. The adults walking past didn’t seem to notice a five-year old girl walking around without any parent or guardian. Yuka didn’t mind. She liked to get away from boring adult problems. Especially when she came to Suna. Her father and the Kazekage would talk for a very long time. Sometimes she and her father would have to stay for days, while they discussed plans and preparations.
Soon she was outside in the warm night air. The only thing she didn’t like about Sun, was the temperatures. She liked it back in her own home, where the wind would whistle through the trees and her hair.
Just then, she saw some kids running away from something. She watched as they ran past towards their homes, fear on their faces. Yuka watched curiously and confused. Once the kids were gone, she headed in the opposite direction from where they were running. What was so scary around here?
Yuka soon found a boy about her age, kneeling on the ground, crying with his fists up to his eyes. Yuka ran over to him concerned. She came down to her knees and the boy looked at her confused.
“Why are crying?” she asked him. The boy had red hair and sea green eyes, which were heavily outlined with black.
“Who are you?” the boy sniffed.
“I’m Yuka!” she said brightly, “What’s your name?”
“Gaara,” the boy said straightening up.
“Nice to meet you!” Yuka said with a smile, “Hey, do you want to play with me?
“OK!” Gaara said, cheering up.
Yuka then stood up and offered her hand for Gaara. He stared at her hand for a while, but soon took it.
Yuka and Gaara played all around the village. They laughed, talked and smiled, enjoying each others company. Even though Yuka had broken her father’s rule by not associating with other kids, she was happy she did. If not, she would never had met Gaara and would still be sitting on the bench, bored.
But soon she would have to go back, or her father would scold her and she would never see Gaara or Suna again.
“Are we friends?” Gaara asked Yuka suddenly. Yuka looked at him with a cheerful smile.
“Of course! We’ll be friends forever!” Yuka said and clapped excitedly. Gaara smiled at Yuka’s hyperness, glad he was her friend. But soon her ecstatic mood died down.
“I have to go now, Gaara,” she said sadly.
“Why?” Gaara asked, eyes wide.
“Daddy will be wondering where I am,” Yuka said.
“When can we see each other again?” Gaara asked.
“I hope soon! It will be when my father has to come to Suna. He always brings me along!” Yuka said, putting on a brave smile. Gaara grinned a little bit, hoping that he would see Yuka again. They said their farewells and Yuka went on her way to find her father. Luckily, he hadn’t finished talked with the Kazekage just yet. After about ten minutes he did come out. It was about 11:00pm, so she and her father had to stay the night, but they would be leaving early in the morning.
Yuka couldn’t wait until she saw Gaara again. Even though she wasn’t supposed to make friends, she was glad that she had disobeyed her father that night. He wouldn’t find out if she didn’t tell him, at least, that’s what she thought.
It was several weeks before she got to see Gaara again, but this time they had to stay for three days, which she was happy about. Usually she hated staying longer in Suna, since her father would make her stay in their room until he came back. But now, since she had become friends with Gaara, she would sneak out of the room and went exploring with him.
“Gaara!” she called out once she found him. She giggled and smiled as she ran up to him. Gaara looked so happy to see his best friend. She hugged him tightly as she reached him, which caught Gaara off guard. They then spent the rest of the day together. It was great to see Gaara again! She was starting to think she would never see him again.
“You should come and meet my brother and sister!” Gaara said happily and Yuka followed him towards his home. There she met Temari and Kankurou. Temari was the eldest sibling and was really nice towards Yuka. Kankurou was a sort of a joker and laid back. He was the second eldest, while Gaara was the youngest. They both seemed happy that Gaara had made a friend. Yuka was happy too that she was Gaara’s friend.
Yuka and Gaara spent the whole day with each other, playing with Temari and Kankurou. Yuka had never had so much fun. She laughed, giggled and smiled throughout the whole day. But as soon as it started to get dark, Yuka had to leave, fearful of her father’s temper if he caught her out of the room.
She couldn’t wait to play with Gaara again, so she went to bed early so the night would go faster and she could go out with Gaara. Her father didn’t really notice since he started to work on some papers once he got home. It was a little depressing how little time he spent with Yuka. But now that she had Gaara she didn’t really mind.
Once it was morning and her father had left her breakfast, she left the house after she had eaten and headed towards Gaara’s.

*~TIME SKIP~* //LAST DAY//
It was early afternoon and Gaara and Yuka were dangling their bare feet in a fountain. Yuka was smiling, although dreading that she would have to leave tomorrow morning.
“YUKA!!!” she heard an angry yell from behind her. She turned around terrified. She knew exactly who it was.
Her father was marching towards Gaara and Yuka, looking absolutely furious. Yuka stood up and faced her father. She was done for it! He would never let her see Gaara again now!
“Yuka, what do you think you’re doing?!” her father roared at her. Tears rose in her eyes, threatening to fall, “Come away from him!!!”
“But Daddy!” Yuka sobbed loudly.
“NOW!!” he yelled at Yuka. She had no choice but to obey him. She rubbed her eyes from the tears and made her way over to her father. She was scared of what was to happen to her now. She knew that she would never see Gaara again now. He would never let her out of his sight now. Her father hid her out of sight from Gaara. Gaara looked confused, scared and angry all at once.
“Stay away from my daughter!!!” Yuka’s father screamed angrily and then took Yuka away from Gaara.
She wouldn’t see him for another seven years. She kept looked at Gaara as he father took her away from him. She wailed and tears spilled from her eyes.
“YUKA!!” Gaara shouted, as tears escaped his eyes. He fell to his knees and cried.
